# Tanium

> Connect ThreatAware to Tanium to integrate data and enhance your security monitoring capabilities

## Overview

The Tanium integration enables ThreatAware to collect data from Tanium, providing enhanced visibility and security controls.

## Setup instructions

**Tanium Connection Guide Connect Tanium**

1. Log in to the ThreatAware dashboard and navigate to Settings → Integrations.
2. Search for Tanium using the search bar.
3. Click 'Connect' and a pop-up window will appear.

**Create an API Token using the Tanium Console**

1. Log in to the Tanium Console.
2. From the Main menu, go to Administration > Permissions > API Tokens.
3. Click "New API Token."
4. Set the expiration date to the default maximum value of 365 days.
5. Set the trusted IP addresses to the current ThreatAware allowlist, available in-product under **Settings → Integrations → AWS Account / IP Whitelist Info**.
6. Optionally, enter "ThreatAware" into the notes section for future reference.
7. Click "Save" to store your API token.
