# Tenable IO

**Tenable IO Connection Guide**

**Connect Tenable IO**

1. Log in to the ThreatAware dashboard.
2. Navigate to **Settings → Integrations**.
3. Use the search bar to find **Tenable IO**.
4. Click **Connect** to open the connection settings.

**Admin Account Setup**

1. **Create a New Account**:
   * It's recommended to create a new user specifically for API access, assigning Basic Permissions.
2. **Access the Tenable Console**:
   * Log in to your Tenable Console.
3. Navigate to the **My Account** page.
4. Select the **API Key** tab.

**Generate API Keys**

1. Click **Generate** to create new API keys.
2. You may see a warning pop-up; review it and click **Generate** to proceed.
3. Copy the **Access Key** and **Secret Key** displayed.

**Input Details into ThreatAware**

1. Paste the **Access Key** into the provided field within ThreatAware.
2. Paste the **Secret Key** in its corresponding field.
3. Click the **Authorize** button to complete the setup.

**Verification and Troubleshooting**

* **Verification**: Confirm the connection by checking for device data synced between ThreatAware and Tenable IO.
* **Troubleshooting**: If issues arise:
  * Double-check the API keys are correctly entered.
  * Ensure the Tenable account has adequate permissions.
