Overview

The Datto Autotask PSA integration enables ThreatAware to collect read-only data from your Datto Autotask PSA environment, providing visibility into your professional services assets and business data.

Setup instructions

Log in to Datto Autotask PSA

Access your Datto Autotask PSA console with an administrator account that has API access permissions.

Generate API Key and Secret

Navigate to your Datto Autotask PSA settings to obtain API credentials:
  • Locate the API Settings or Developer Settings section
  • Generate a new API Key
  • Copy the API Secret (also called API Token)
  • Note the Endpoint URL (typically https://webservices.autotask.net/ATServicesRest)
Keep your API credentials secure. Only share them through encrypted channels.

Configure in ThreatAware

Complete the integration setup in ThreatAware:
  • Open ThreatAware and navigate to Settings > Integrations
  • Search for and select Datto Autotask PSA
  • Enter the required credentials:
    • API Key: The API key generated in Datto Autotask PSA
    • API Secret: The API secret/token from your Datto account
    • Endpoint URL: https://webservices.autotask.net/ATServicesRest
  • Click Connect to establish the integration

Verify Connection

After connecting, verify the integration is working:
  • Check the Integration Status to confirm it shows Active
  • Wait for the initial data sync (typically within 1 hour)
  • Verify Datto Autotask PSA data appears in ThreatAware

Verification and troubleshooting

Symptoms: Integration status shows authentication failureSolutions:
  • Verify the API Key and API Secret are correct
  • Ensure the API credentials were copied without extra spaces
  • Confirm the API key has not been revoked in Datto Autotask PSA
  • Check that your Datto account has API access enabled
Symptoms: Integration fails to connect or times outSolutions:
  • Verify the Endpoint URL is correct: https://webservices.autotask.net/ATServicesRest
  • Check firewall rules allow outbound HTTPS (443) to the Datto endpoint
  • Confirm the Datto Autotask PSA service is accessible and operational
  • Test the endpoint URL in a browser to ensure connectivity
Symptoms: Integration shows active but no PSA data appearsSolutions:
  • Verify there is project and account data in Datto Autotask PSA to collect
  • Check that the API credentials have read permissions
  • Wait for the next sync cycle (typically hourly)
  • Review ThreatAware integration logs for detailed error messages
