Setup instructions

Log in to Druva Cloud Platform Console
Access the Druva Cloud Platform Console with an administrator account.

Generate API Credentials
Navigate to API configuration:
- Go to Settings > API Credentials in the Druva Cloud Platform
- Click Generate New API Key to create a key specifically for ThreatAware
- Set the necessary permissions, typically Read-only for monitoring
- Copy both the API Key and API Secret that are generated

Configure in ThreatAware
Complete the integration setup in ThreatAware:
- Open ThreatAware, go to Integrations, and select Druva Cloud Platform
- Enter the API Key into the designated field
- Enter the API Secret into its corresponding field
- Click Connect to establish the integration

Verify Connection
After connecting:
- Check that the Integration Status shows as Active in ThreatAware
- Verify that backup and data protection data is appearing in ThreatAware

Verification and testing
After setup, verify the integration is working correctly:-
Check Integration Status
- Navigate to Integrations in ThreatAware
- Confirm the Druva Cloud Platform integration shows Active status
- Review the last sync timestamp

- Wait up to 60 minutes for initial data synchronization
- Check that backup and data protection information appears in ThreatAware
- Verify the data matches your Druva environment

- Create a test query to filter systems with Druva protection
- Verify backup status and protection coverage data is being collected

Symptoms: Integration status shows authentication failureSolutions:
- Verify that both the API Key and API Secret are correctly entered
- Ensure neither credential has extra spaces or was truncated
- Confirm the API credentials were generated in the correct Druva environment
- Check if the credentials have been revoked or expired in Druva
- Regenerate new credentials if the original ones are suspect

- Verify that the API Key permissions match ThreatAware’s access requirements
- Confirm the API credentials have at least read-only permissions
- Check the administrator account used to create the API Key is still active

- Regenerate credentials with appropriate permissions if needed

- Verify there are data sources and backups in Druva to collect
- Check that the API Key scope includes access to necessary resources
- Wait for the next sync cycle (typically hourly)
