The Datto RMM integration enables ThreatAware to collect read-only data from your Datto RMM platform, providing visibility into your managed IT environment and helping validate your IT operations and security controls.Connection Method: API

Enable API Access in Datto RMM
In your Datto RMM console:
- Navigate to Setup > Account Settings > Access Control
- Set Enable API Access to ON

Create API Key for User
- Go to Setup > Users and select the username you want to enable API access for
- Click the Generate API Keys hyperlink to create an API Key and API Secret Key
- Save and securely store the generated credentials

Determine Your Filter (Site)
To create a custom device filter:
- Create a custom device filter in Datto RMM
- Select the term Site name and operator Equals
- Enter the name of the site you are connecting
- Save the filter
- Click on the filter and copy the ID from the URL
...filter_id=XXXXX - copy the ID value.4
Obtain API URL
Your Datto RMM API URL is typically:
- Primary endpoint:
https://api.centrastage.netor - Region-specific endpoint: Check your Datto RMM dashboard for your region’s API URL

Configure in ThreatAware
Complete the integration setup in ThreatAware:
- Open ThreatAware and navigate to Settings > Integrations
- Search for and select Datto RMM
- Enter the required credentials:
- API Key: The key generated in Datto RMM
- API Secret Key: The secret key generated
- API URL: Your Datto RMM API endpoint
- Filter ID: The ID of your custom device filter
- Click Authorize to establish the integration

Verify Connection
After connecting, verify the integration status shows as Active in ThreatAware.

After setup, verify the integration is working correctly:-
Check Integration Status
- Navigate to Settings > Integrations in ThreatAware
- Confirm the Datto RMM integration shows Active status

- Check for data synchronization between Datto RMM and ThreatAware interfaces
- Verify devices from your selected site are appearing in ThreatAware

- Create a test query to filter devices from Datto RMM
- Verify the data matches your Datto RMM inventory

- Verify the API URL is correct for your region
- Check firewall rules allow outbound HTTPS (443) to Datto RMM
- Test the API URL accessibility using a web browser
- Confirm your internet connection is stable

Symptoms: Integration shows active but no devices from the site appearSolutions:
- Verify the Filter ID is correct
- Ensure the custom filter in Datto RMM is properly configured
- Check that devices exist in Datto RMM for the specified site
- Verify the filter is using the correct site name
- Review ThreatAware integration logs (contact support if needed)
