Troubleshooting
Invalid Token Error
Invalid Token Error
Symptoms: Integration status shows token validation failureSolutions:
- Verify the script token is entered exactly as copied from TeamViewer
- Ensure the token has not expired or been revoked
- Check that the token has View entries permission for computer groups
- Regenerate a new script token if the current one is invalid
Group ID Issues
Group ID Issues
Symptoms: Integration connects but shows no devices or wrong devicesSolutions:
- Verify Group IDs are copied correctly from the URL (format:
g123456789) - Ensure the script token has access to all specified device groups
- Check that device groups contain devices (not empty groups)
- For multiple groups, verify comma-separated format is correct
- Try with a single known Group ID first to isolate the issue
Permission Denied
Permission Denied
Symptoms: Integration connects but cannot retrieve device dataSolutions:
- Verify the script token was created with View entries permission
- Check that the TeamViewer administrator account still has group access
- Ensure the token permissions have not been modified
- Regenerate the token with correct permissions if needed
- Review TeamViewer API Documentation for permission requirements
No Devices After 1 Hour
No Devices After 1 Hour
Symptoms: Integration shows active but no devices appear in ThreatAwareSolutions:
- Verify the specified device groups contain active devices
- Check that devices are not in offline or excluded state
- Confirm the script token has access to the specified Group IDs
- Wait additional time - first sync may take longer than 1 hour
- Review ThreatAware integration logs for error messages
Important notes
Token Security
- Script tokens provide API access to TeamViewer data
- Store the token securely and do not share it
- If the token is compromised, regenerate it immediately in TeamViewer
- Only use tokens for authorised integrations like ThreatAware
