Setup instructions

Log in to ISL Online Admin Console
Access the ISL Online Console with an administrator account.

Navigate to API Access
In the ISL Online admin console:
- Go to Settings > API Access
- This section contains API key management

Create API Key
Create a new API key for ThreatAware:
- Click Create API Key
- Provide a descriptive name, for example:
ThreatAware Integration - Set the permissions to Read-only (unless additional access is required)
- Click Generate or Create to generate the key
- Copy the API Key that is displayed

Configure in ThreatAware
In ThreatAware, go to Integrations and select ISL Online:
- Paste the API Key in the designated field
- Click Connect to establish the integration

Verify Connection
After connecting, verify the integration status:
- Check that the Integration Status shows as Active
- Wait for initial data synchronization (typically 10-15 minutes)
- Verify ISL Online data appears in ThreatAware

After setup, verify the integration is working correctly:-
Check Integration Status
- Navigate to Integrations in ThreatAware
- Confirm the ISL Online integration shows Active status
- Note the last sync timestamp

Verify Data Collection
- Wait for initial data sync (10-15 minutes)
- Log in to ISL Online and note active sessions
- Verify the same sessions appear in ThreatAware

- Create a test query to filter devices with ISL Online data
- Verify session details appear correctly
Troubleshooting

Symptoms: Integration status shows authentication failureSolutions:
- Verify the API Key is entered correctly and completely
- Ensure the key was copied without extra spaces or line breaks
- Check that the API key hasn’t expired or been revoked
- Log in to ISL Online to verify the key is still active
- Generate a new API key if the current one is invalid

Symptoms: Integration connects but shows no session dataSolutions:
- Verify the API key has Read-only permissions (or higher if needed)
- Check that the user account used to generate the API key is an administrator
- Review the ISL Online API configuration for required permissions
- Regenerate the API key with proper permissions if needed
- Consult the ISL Online API Documentation for detailed permissions

Symptoms: Integration worked initially but stopped collecting dataSolutions:
- Log in to ISL Online and check the API key status
- Verify the key hasn’t been manually revoked or expired
- Generate a new API key in ISL Online
- Update the key in ThreatAware integrations settings
- Test the connection again

Symptoms: Integration shows active but no session data appearsSolutions:
- Wait up to 15 minutes for initial data synchronization
- Verify there are active remote sessions in ISL Online to collect
- Check that the API key has read permissions
- Log in to ISL Online to verify session data exists
- Review integration logs in ThreatAware (contact support if needed)
Connection Timeout
Connection Timeout
Symptoms: Integration fails to connect or times out repeatedlySolutions:
- Check ISL Online platform availability and status
- Verify your network connection to ISL Online
- Confirm firewall rules allow outbound HTTPS (443) to ISL Online
- Try connecting again after a few minutes
- Contact ISL Online support if the platform is unreachable
